Our Services

Longitudinal Line Marking

Longitudinal line marking plays a crucial role in safely guiding road users within their travel lanes, and are heavily relied upon by autonomous vehicles. The visibility of these lines requires highly skilled operators and equipment. The success of longitudinal line marking extends beyond the capabilities of the truck itself. The skilled team at Austroad are experts in the field, dedicated to their craft and committed to enhancing road safety through precise and effective line markings.

Transverse Markings

Transverse markings are vital in guiding drivers safely along their travel lanes to prevent collisions with other road users or structures. Transverse markings are typically broader than longitudinal lines, serving to help drivers distinguish between the two types of markings.

These markings are commonly deployed at major and minor intersections, as well as highway on-ramps and off-ramps, providing clear and precise guidance to eliminate confusion and reduce accidents.

Coloured Surface Treatment

Coloured surface treatment represent an innovative approach to enhancing both aesthetics and functionality, offering various benefits in terms of safety, navigation, and overall road user experience.

These treatments often involve the application of vibrant and durable colors to road surfaces, serving as a visual aid to guide drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians. One common application is the use of colored pavement to highlight specific zones such as pedestrian crossings, school zones, bike lanes, or bus lanes. These distinct colors not only contribute to the visual appeal of the road infrastructure but also play a crucial role in improving safety by clearly demarcating different areas and indicating specific rules for each.

Line and Waste Removal

Line waste removal is a critical aspect of maintaining safe and efficient roadways. As road markings age or become obsolete due to changes in traffic patterns, construction projects, or urban planning, it becomes imperative to remove existing lines to avoid confusion and ensure the clarity of the road infrastructure. This involves the use of specialized equipment such as road striping removal machines equipped with grinding or water blasting mechanisms. These machines effectively eliminate painted or thermoplastic road markings with minimal damage to the underlying road surface.

Raised Pavement Markers

Raised Pavement Markers (RPMs) serve as regulatory devices that enhance pavement markings. These markers provide effective delineation during day, night, and particularly wet weather conditions, offering both visual and audible cues for vehicle navigation.

Temporary raised pavement markers are used to temporarily delineate the road surface prior to line markings being applied, and during a ‘traffic switch’ when no markings are present.
